A Personal Story I completed my seven-day Positive Neuroplasticity Training with Rick Hanson in June 2017 at the Malahide Hotel in Dublin. On the last day, I faced a deeply painful experience—a miscarriage at 13 weeks pregnant. It was devastating. But because of the training, I could still find moments of grace amidst the sorrow.


I remember the kindness of the nurse who woke me up in the middle of the night with tea and toast. The practice of "taking in the good" helped me navigate one of the hardest times of my life. As Rick explains, our brains are like Velcro for negativity and Teflon for positivity. Without practice, the negativity bias can overwhelm us. The PNT course teaches you how to overcome this, build resilience, and find the good even in tough times.
